For us in the EBX Group, sponsorship investments are specifically aimed at:

  • Reinforcing initiatives of relevance to society
1. Procedure for selection & evaluation of Sponsorship Project
Selection and evaluation of projects will be made by cross-referencing the essential information regarding sponsorship type, category, theme and criteria as defined by the company. This process is conducted by the technical staff of our Communications Area

1.1. Types of Sponsorship
  • Formal Sponsorship - investment in business events, forums, lectures, congresses, conventions on themes relating to the company's business.
Areas of Direct Interest: energy, oil and gas, mining, offshore services, logistics, Rio de Janeiro and related topics.
  • Constructive Sponsorship - projects that promote social impact and develop themes of relevance to society in all its aspects (social, cultural and environmental).
1.2. Project Categories
The sponsorship must fall within one of the categories of the defined project group, according to the type of product generated:
  • Culture;
    • Festival
    • Folklore (regional culture)
    • Film
    • Editorial
    • Theatre
    • Dance
  • Event;
  • Research and Technology;
  • Sport.

1.3. Themes
The sponsorship must prioritize topics of high relevance for the company and for society as a whole. Thus, the chosen subjects are:
  • Environment;
  • Education;
  • Learning;
  • Citizenship.

1.4. Criteria
Preference shall be given to initiatives that fall into the following basic criteria: (iconic image for the Group)
  • Sustainability
  • Entrepreneurism
  • Innovation

EVALUATION AND SELECTION OF PROJECTS

The EBX corporate communications technical team conducts a pre-selection according to the viability of projects and technical potential of candidates, in line with the criteria described in the Normative Statements for Sponsorship.

After this initial evaluation, pre-selected projects shall be submitted to the Communications and Sponsorships Committee of the EBX Group for final approval.

Final approval of projects will be made during a meeting of the Communication and Sponsorships Committee which will have the authority to select and propose projects according to the general rule for Sponsorships of the EBX Group.

The publicizing of the projects selected to receive sponsorship, after the first stage of the selection process, will be through the sites of the EBX Group, as of December 8, 2009.

FORMALIZATION OF SPONSORSHIP

The representatives of the projects selected for Sponsorship will be contacted by the communications team, in order to formalize a sponsorship contract with the EBX Group.

  The formalization of the sponsorship must follow all the procedures and criteria established by the Legal and Supplies area of the EBX Group.
