One of our key strategies is to generate new wealth by identifying investment opportunities that can generate significant returns.

To achieve this we have focused on business development in those areas of infrastructure and natural resources that are fundamental to the development of Brazil and that have significant competitive differentials. Our core investments are in MMX (mining), MPX (energy), LLX (logistics), OGX (oil and gas) and OSX (shipping and marine industry).

We have investments also in the entertainment business in Rio de Janeiro, seeking to contribute to social, economic and cultural development in the state where we make a significant portion of our investments. Some examples are nautical tourism and events promoted by the Pink Fleet and the Marina da Glória, the Gloria Palace Hotel, Mr. Lam’s Chinese restaurant and the MD.X Barra Medical Center.

Another important pillar of our business philosophy is the sharing of wealth with partners, executives and investors. Executives of the group, including at managerial levels, are also shareholders in the companies, which ensures a strong alignment of interests around common goals.

We have developed strategic alliances that can contribute to better business development, either by the exchanging of experiences and sharing of new technologies or even through financial support for the implementation of business plans for our companies. These alliances, always made with large groups, whether domestic or foreign, have been effective in creating value for our shareholders.
