  • January

    OGX, MMX, LLX and PortX are included on the list of companies on the new Ibovespa theoretical portfolio, the Brazilian stock market’s main average price performance indicator. It portrays the behavior of the main securities traded on the BM&FBovespa and demonstrates the importance and good performance of publicly traded companies on the market.

    OSX receives the first of two sister ships in the VLCC (Very Large Crude Oil Carrier) category. The vessels will be converted into two floating oil production, storage and offloading units, the FPSOs OSX-4 and OSX-5, expanding the company’s portfolio.

    OGX receives its first wet Christmas tree for oil production, which permits production from subsea wells.

    The startup of the Healthy Children, Healthy Future social project, a partnership between MPX and the NGO Inmed do Brasil, for monitoring child nutrition in the state of Ceará.

    The EBX Group consolidates its presence overseas through the creation of EBX Internacional and the opening of an office in New York.

    The Tauá Solar Power Plant (CE) takes possession of 4,680 photovoltaic panels, responsible for capturing solar light to be transformed into electric energy.

    OGX rises four positions in the list published in January by the PFC Energy consulting firm, which ranks the 50 largest energy companies in the world by their market cap, 2010 basis. The Company, which went from 33rd to 29th place, was the only private company in Brazil on the list and the fifth largest in the world exclusively operating in the oil and gas exploration and production industry.

    Eike Batista, president of the EBX Group, elected by Revista IstoÉ magazine as one of the 100 most influential persons in 2011, in the Bold category, because of his investments in Rio de Janeiro and the Group’s projects. The magazine highlights the personalities who are transforming society.
