We are a group founded in Brazil with global reach. Our headquarters are located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. We also work in Colombia and Chile, two of the more developed countries in South America.

The EBX Group promotes structural changes in these two countries and has businesses related to natural resources that will ensure the future development of the entire region. Projects are accompanied by socio-environmental initiatives, which provide the underpinnings for our commitment to sustainability and respect for local communities.

The Group also has an office in New York.

 Chile

The EBX Group is active in Chile. MPX, the energy company, is investing in the construction of this country's most modern power generation plants. In Chile, the company has an environmental permit to construct the coal-fired Castilla thermoelectric power plant, which will have a capacity of up to 2,100 MW, equivalent to approximately 15% of Chile's current installed capacity. The plant will be integrated with a deep water port for receiving coal produced by MPX's mines in Colombia.MMX holds mining rights for iron ore extraction in the Atacama Desert region.

MPX supports a private protected area of 12,000 hectares (29,652 acres) within the Castilla property.

Preservation of native flora and fauna, along with the management and maintenance of this area is a voluntary commitment to environmental compensation.

 Colombia

For MPX, Colombia is a strategic country, which has the opportunity to offer world-class coal assets. The company -- whose Colombian operation is called CCX -- is developing an integrated coal production project in the La Guajira department, near the Cerrejon mine region in the north of the country, one of Colombia's principle producing areas. With potential resources around 4 billion tons, the region is considered a "Carajás" for low-sulfur ("compliance") coal.

With an integrated logistics infrastructure -- a 150 km (93 mi) rail line from the mines to a company-owned, deep-water port - the project is expected to produce approximately 35 million tons per year. The mines will supply MPX's thermoelectric power plants, strategically located along the Brazilian and Chilean coastlines, as well as meet demands of the international market.

OGX also has terrestrial blocks in Colombia, in the Cesar-Ranchería Basin, Lower Madalena Valley and Middle Madalena Valley.

The Group has acquired, through AUX, a controlling interest in the Canadian mining firm, Ventana Gold, which holds mining rights in northern Colombia's historic California-Vetas gold mining region. The company's total assets guarantee the EBX Group one of the world's richest, subterranean gold deposits.
